A2 Brief

A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two ancillary tasks : a digipak for the albums release and the magazine advertisement for the digipak.

My Initial Thoughts

I am really looking forward to making the music video and to make an advertisement as I feel I am a creative and artistic person, causing this task to be ideal for me. As well as this, I cant wait to look further into the Production of my music video because I am able to see my progress throughout the course. I am very glad to be back and making a blog again. Last year in AS i really enjoyed the journey i was taken on and learnt so much about modern day media. 

Skills and Development

From AS Media Studies I am able to apply my overall knowledge into the creation of the promotion packaging. I will also be able to correctly use synergy for my music video, digipak and the creation as a whole. Im really excited to develop my skills further by creating this music video. Becoming an A2 student I will learn and improve on skills used to edit music videos. In addition, I will need to improve on my camera skills as Ive only ever taken still images before. 

What worries me the most

The main thing I am worried about is the song choice and who the actors will be in my music video, just in case one of my potential actors couldn't be filmed or doesn't attend filming. this would effect me as it would put me behind in editing and the overall A2 course. Another aspect I am worried about is the artist not allowing my to use their song.
